Odisha Cabinet approves 15 proposals of 10 departments
Odisha Cabinet approved a total of 15 proposals from 10 different departments during the 28th meeting held at Lok Seva Bhavan Conference Hall this evening.
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Cabinet approved a total of 15 proposals from 10 different departments during the 28th meeting held at Lok Seva Bhavan Conference Hall this evening.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja briefed the media about the decisions taken in the Cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
A total of 15 proposals from 10 different departments were presented, discussed and approved in the Cabinet meeting. One of them was related to the Prorogation of 4th session of 17th Legislative Assembly.
- Proposal to amend Rule-18 of Odisha Taxation and Accounts Services Rules, 2011 to keep a generic clause i.e “the duration of induction training/institutional training shall be for a period as prescribed by the State Government from time to time” instead of a fixed duration.
- The Cabinet has approved the proposal for Framing of Odisha Employees State Insurance Scheme Laboratory Technician Service (Methods of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2025.
- Promulgation of the Factories (Odisha Amendment) Ordinance, 2025
- Promulgation of the Odisha Shops and Commercial Establishments (Amendment) Ordinance, 2025
- Food and Paddy Procurement Policy for Kharif Marketing Season 2025-26.
- Approval of the new State sector scheme “Swachha Odisha” with an outlay of Rs. 1600 crore for five years (FY 2025-26 to FY 2029-30).
- Extension of “Construction of In-stream Storage Structure (ISS-2.0)” for five years.
- “Intrastate River Linking Scheme in Odisha.
- Extension of “Nabakrushna Choudhury Secha Unnayan Yojana” for five years.
- “Execution of 06 nos. of Lift Irrigation Schemes with intake points on Hirakud reservoir and Bheden River having Command area between 500Ha. to 2000 Ha. in Cluster No. XXVI in the district of Sambalpur including its distribution network, up to 1 Ha Chak having total planned Culturable Command Area of 8,507 Ha. on “EPC -Turn Key” basis including power system connectivity and Operation & Maintenance of complete commissioned schemes for 15 years.”
- To give opportunities to the more experienced candidates, as well as to the candidates who debarred from Government service earlier, it is necessary to amend the Orissa District and Civil Courts’ Judicial Staff Services (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008.
- Framing of Odisha Registration of Birth and Death (Amendment) Rules, 2025 to implement the different provisions of the Registration of Birth & Death (amendment) Act, 2023 passed by Registrar General & Census Commissioner of India and to regulate the birth and death registration along with issuance of birth and death certificates in Odisha.
- The Government in S&ME Department has taken a decision for procurement of 18,500 M.Ts (16,500 M.Ts for TBPM and 2000 M.Ts for BSE) of 70 GSM Maplitho reel paper and 1300 M.Ts (1100 M.Ts for TBPM and 200 M.Ts for BSE) of 170 GSM Glossy Art Cover Paper for the Academic Session 2026-27. The above procured paper shall be used for printing and supply of Nationalised Textbooks and Allied Books free of cost to the students of the Govt. and Govt. Aided schools studying in class- I to VIII. As per orders of Government, the Nationalised Text Books shall also be supplied to students from Class-I-VIII in free of cost.
- Odisha Jan Vishwas Ordinance 2025 to Decriminalize Minor Offences and Strengthen Trust-Based Governance.
