Nuapada elections: BJD to announce candidate for polls soon
Post Jay Dholkia joining BJP, the opposition party BJD shall soon announce its candidate for the upcoming Nuapada elections
Bhubaneswar: Party Supremo Chief Naveen Patnaik had given the green signal to Jay Dholakia to be the BJD candidate for the upcoming Nuapada elections. But he joined BJP, now the question is who will BJD field for the polls. The party’s plan in this regard is also ready. The party has said that an announcement will be made soon.
The Political Affairs Committee held a meeting with Supremo Chief Naveen Patnaik at Naveen Niwas. A brainstorming session was held in the meeting regarding the Nuapada by-elections.
Senior leader Pramila Mallick said that the BJD will soon announce its candidate for the Nuapada by-elections. She expressed confidence that the BJD will win the Nuapada battle.
Whoever Naveen fields, he will win the election, Pramila said that people’s hope and trust in Naveen remain unwavering. She said that there was a thorough discussion regarding what the party’s strategy will be in the Nuapada elections. While Ghasi Ram Majhi has been given a ticket from the Congress, it is all but certain that Jay Dholakia will be the BJP candidate.
