Bhadrak: In a sad incident, a minor girl died today after being hit by a slab that collapsed from a concrete underpass in Bhadrak district of Odisha on Sunday. The incident took place at the Bishnupur Chhack on the National Highway No. 16.
As per information, today evening, while the 10-year-old daughter of Bhaja Malik of Bentalia village was going to the market, a slab of a concrete underpass collapsed on her.
As a result, she died on the spot. Infuriated by this, the locals set fire to a machine engaged in the construction work and blocked the road by keeping the body on the National Highway demanding compensation for the loss and strict action against the culprit.
