Man killed in blast while making firecracker in Odisha’s Ganjam district
The incident took place in the Kaithada village under Khallikote Police Station limits in the district.
Bermhapur: In a tragic incident, a man was killed in a blast while making firecracker in Ganjam district of Odisha on Monday. The incident took place in the Kaithada village under Khallikote Police Station limits in the district.
The deceased has been identified as Pintu Palei.
As per reports, Pintu was engaged in an illegal firecracker making work when the crackers blasted. Accordingly, he sustained critical injury. One of his hands and one of his legs had critical burn injury.
Following the incident, he was rushed to Khallikote hospital. However, today morning he succumbed to the burn injury while under treatment at the hospital. Police investigation of the matter is underway.
