Mahakalpada Tahasildar arrested by Odisha Vigilance for possessing DA 190 per cent
Odisha Vigilance arrested Siba Mallick, OAS, Tahasildar, Mahakalpada of Kendrapara district for possessing 190% over his sources of income
Mahakalpada: Odisha Vigilance sleuths arrested Siba Mallick, OAS, Tahasildar, Mahakalpada of Kendrapara district. He was arrested for possessing disproportionate assets to the tune of 190% over his known sources of income.
One more case was instituted against Siba Mallick, OAS, Tahsildar, Mahakalpada, Dist-Kendrapara for possessing DA to the tune of 190% of his known sources of income including 4 buildings, 7 valuable plots, deposits Rs.18 lakhs, cash Rs.1.55 lakh, etc unearthed, which he failed to explain satisfactorily. Hence, he was arrested for possessing DA and is being forwarded today to the Court.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No.31 dated 09.10.2025 was registered against Sri Siba Mallick, Tahsildar and his spouse U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(b)/12 PC (Amendment) Act,2018.
Investigation continuing.
Earlier, vide Cuttack Vigilance PS Case No.29 date 23.09.2025 U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 registered against Sri Siba Mallick, OAS, Tahsildar, Mahakalpada, Dist-Kendrapara in a Trap case for demand and acceptance of bribe Rs.20,000/- from a complainant for helping in eviction of an illegal structure over Govt. land obstructing the passage to his (complainant’s) house, Sri Mallick was arrested by Odisha Vigilance and forwarded to the Court on 24.09.2025.
Following trap of Sri Siba Mallick, Tahsildar, Mahakalpada by Odisha Vigilance, simultaneous searches were conducted by Vigilance teams at different locations connected to Sri Mallick, Tahasildar from DA angle and after thorough enquiry and evaluation, Mallick was found in possession of aforementioned disproportionate assets(DA).
