Bhubaneswar: Low pressure on October 21. A cyclonic circulation is active over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It has spread up to 1.5 km above sea level.

Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on October 21. The Indian Meteorological Department (MeT) has given information in this regard.

It will move westwards and northwestwards and intensify further. It is likely to turn into a depression over the central South Bay of Bengal and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal in the next 48 hours. Meanwhile, a low pressure is likely to form in the Arabian Sea today.

A cyclonic circulation is active over the Southeast Arabian Sea and the Lakshadweep area off the Kerala-Karnataka coast. Under its influence, a low pressure area is likely to form today. It will move west-northwestwards. It will turn into a depression in the next 36 hours, the IMD has informed.
