Light gate near College square in Cuttack collapses due to heavy rain
The Light Gate built as a part of Durga Puja decorations in Cuttack near the College square have collapsed today.
Cuttack: Heavy rains have wrecked havoc in several parts of Odisha. Due to the low pressure induced rains, the Light Gate built near College square in Cuttack collapsed this afternoon.
According to information, heavy rains accompanied with surface winds resulted in the Light Gate collapse near College square in Cuttack.
As a result, the road connecting Ranihat to College square collapsed this afternoon.
It is worth mentioning here that, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was scheduled to go to Cuttack today and visit several Dussehra puja mandaps.
CM Majhi will visit various puja mandap in Cuttack and enjoy Durga Puja on Mahanavami today. He will seek darshan of Maa Durga and Hara parvati (Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati) at the mandaps.
