Light Gate for Lakshmi Puja in Dhenkanal collapses due to rains
The light gate collapsed in Dhenkanal due to the heavy rains and wind. The fire brigade reached the spot and started the rescue work.
Dhenkanal: The light gate ahead of the Lakshmi Puja in Dhenkanal district collapsed due to the ongoing heavy rains. The light gate collapsed near the Dakshin Kali road.
According to information, the light gate collapsed in Dhenkanal due to the incessant and heavy rains. Fortunately no has been injured in the gate collapse.
The fire brigade reached the spot and started the rescue work.They cut the bamboo and cleared the road.
The light gate was being built for the Lakshmi Puja on the October 6. Construction of multiple light gates and arches is underway by 38 committees of the city.
The gate collapsed due to heavy rain and wind and fell on the road. However, no one was injured as there was little traffic at that time.
The fire brigade reached the spot and cut it with the help of cutters and cleared it, after which the traffic movement has returned to normal.
This is the third time in last three days when a Light gate collapsed due to the rains. Earlier, on October 1 a Light Gate collapsed in Cuttack near College square. Similarly, on October 2 the Light Gate in Jagatsinghpur also collapsed due to gusty wind.
