Koraput: Six people injured in road accident
A road accident occurred in the Lamtaput area of Koraput district due to dense fog, leaving six people seriously injured.
Lamtaput: A road accident occurred in the Lamtaput area of Koraput district due to dense fog, leaving six people seriously injured. The mishap took place near Malipeta village under Lamtaput block.
According to sources, a chicken-laden truck coming from Kundura crashed into the car amid poor visibility caused by heavy fog. Six passengers travelling in the car sustained serious injuries, with the condition of the driver stated to be critical. Among the injured, five are women.
Local residents rushed to the spot and, rescued the injured people from the deformed vehicle. Ambulace reached at the spot and shifted the injured passengers to Baipariguda hospital for treatment. The accident is believed to have occurred due to dense fog in the area.
Police reached the accident site and have started an investigation into the incident.
