The KISS Adivasi Parents' Association (KAPA) has decided to boycott OTV and take legal action against it and its owner for showing exaggerated news with a malicious intention to defame KISS University, the largest tribal educational institution of the world.
Bhubaneswar: The KISS Adivasi Parents’ Association (KAPA) has decided to boycott OTV and take legal action against it and its owner for showing exaggerated news with a malicious intention to defame KISS University, the largest tribal educational institution of the world.
Hundreds of members of KAPA today held a meeting and raised their voices against OTV. They alleged that by inciting the recent KISS incident, OTV has conspired to shut down the institution that is shaping the future of their children.
Parents of the KISS students said that OTV has created an atmosphere of fear in the minds of all the tribals of Odisha and is mentally harassing them by repeatedly showing the news even though the police investigation is underway.
Not only that, OTV has also disturbed the 40,00,00 students studying at KISS by mentally harassing them with false news and slandering their institution which provides them free education, food and accommodation with world-class infrastructures.
The KAPA has decided that due to mental anguish, they will take legal action against OTV and its owner. Besides, they have decided to ban OTV and protest the OTV reporters across the state. They said that 80,000 families of KISS children and their friends and relatives, including 8 lakh families, are going to boycott watching OTV forever.
The parents of the KISS students announced to protest in 30 districts until justice is done. They said that OTV is anti-tribal, anti-education, and is anti-development and anti-youth.
Until justice is done, a total of 10,000 students of KISS University will protest in front of the OTV office, they decided while demanding intervention of the government to protect KISS.
Besides, the guardians said that if the KISS authorities or Dr. Achyuta Samanta are not able to run KISS, as alleged by the critics, then they have requested the government to run it.
