KIIT-KISS founder Achyuta Samanta conferred with Trailblazer of Sports Award
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) founder Achyuta Samanta has been conferred with Trailblazer of Sports Award.
Cuttack: Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) founder Achyuta Samanta has been conferred with Trailblazer of Sports Award.
Samanta received the award from the Odisha Cricket Association at the OCA Annual Felicitation and New Year Fest 2025–26 for his efforts for promotion of sports and sportspersons.
In his reaction, the KIIT-KISS founder said, “Whatever little I have been able to do in the field of sports have always been with the aim of supporting young talent and giving sportspersons the right opportunity to grow. My heartfelt thanks to OCA for this recognition.”
It is to be noted here that Samanta has been promoting sports and sportspersons through both KIIT and KISS Universities and has produced national and international players who have excelled in their respective fields and brought laurels for the country and Odisha.
In 2024, Samanta was honoured with prestigious ‘Grand Cross Award’, the highest honour from the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) for promoting sports.
