Bhubaneswar: The third edition of the Study Abroad–Global University Fair was inaugurated at KIIT-DU, drawing representatives from 50 universities across the world.

The three-day event, inaugurated by Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT and KISS, provided students with valuable opportunities to explore scholarships, internships, and higher education prospects in leading global institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Samanta said, “This is the age of globalization. When movement takes place, it fosters knowledge exchange and academic partnerships.” He highlighted KIIT’s world-class infrastructure, vibrant academic environment, and recent achievement of being ranked in the 501 cohort in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026. “Though KIIT is still young as a university, we have developed one of the best sports facilities in the country. Our students are talented, and there are now over 15,000 KIIT alumni spread across the globe,” he added.

KIIT Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saranjit Singh emphasised the growing global aspirations among KIIT students. “There is immense potential here. Nearly 25–30% of our graduates pursue higher education abroad. More and more students should attend such fairs to explore international opportunities,” he noted.

Echoing the sentiment, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Raju K. D. said, “This fair aligns with the vision of our Founder that an institution should have no boundaries. With more than 130 MoUs signed with foreign universities, KIIT continues to expand its global footprint.” The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Registrar Prof. J. R. Mohanty.
