Kidnapped Ola driver’s body found from Chandaka forest in Bhubaneswar

An Ola driver was found dead near Chandaka forest in Bhubaneswar on Saturday. He had gone missing and was kidnapped for ransom.

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, an online taxi driver was kidnapped and then killed in the capital city of Odisha. His body has been recovered from the Chandaka forest today on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

According to information, the deceased Ola driver has been identified as Bidyadhar Sahu of Sishupalgada in Bhubaneswar. Police recovered his body at an isolated place in the Chandaka forest this morning.

Reportedly, the Ola driver had gone missing three days ago and was found dead today on the Bhubaneswar outskirts. The family members of the said Ola driver had lodged a formal complaint in the Badagada police station.

Based on the FIR, the police was investigating the matter. Later the family got a ransom call which confirmed that he was kidnapped for money.

The maternal uncle of the deceased driver said, “He was killed over ransom. The kidnappers asked us money and then after three days his body was found.”
