Khordha: 2 dead, one critical in Tractor-bike head-on collision
The accident took place near Banabaspur under Banapur police station limits in Balugaon area.
Khordha: In a tragic incident, two youths were killed while another youth sustained critical injury following a tractor-bike head-on collision in Khordha district of Odisha on Sunday. The accident took place near Banabaspur village near Kosherda under Banapur police station in Balugaon area of the district.
Identification of the deceased and injured youths are yet to be ascertained.
As per the information received, three youths were travelling on a bike towards Pratap Gram to play cricket match today when they collided with a tractor that was coming from the opposite direction, near Banabaspur village near Kosherda under Banpur police station limits in Balugaon area.
On receiving information, Banapur police reached the spot, rescued the three youths in critical condition and admitted them to Banapur hospital. However, the doctors there pronounced two of them dead. The third youth has been shifted to Bhubaneswar for advanced treatment after his health condition further deteriorated.
It has been learnt that the tractor driver has fled the scene following the incident. Police have reached the spot and have initiated probe.
