Keonjhar: Entangled in window, Class II girl student got locked inside school across night

Banspal: In a case of huge irresponsibility by the staff of a school, a little girl got locked inside the classroom of her school across the night yesterday in Keonjhar district of Odisha.
More than that the little girl, in a desperate bid to escape, attempted to bend the iron rods of the window. Unfortunately, she managed to put her legs out but got her head and upper body entangled in the railing. She remained trapped in this precarious position throughout the night.
She had to remain in that position across the night as it was found at about 9 am today, in the following day.
The incident took place in the Government Primary School of Anjar under Banspal Block of the district.
As per reports, yesterday, after the classes were over at 4 pm, the staff of the school locked the classroom and left for the day. But the little girl, daughter of Tuna Dehuri was left behind in the school building.
After she did not return from school, the family searched extensively and could not find her.
Today, when the school cook came today and opened the school at 9 am, the girl was found entangled in the railing of the window of the classroom.
As per reports, the girl tried to get out of the locked room and in a desperate effort bent the iron railing with all her strength. With both legs sticking out, she hung from her waist to her head and suffered all night.
Today, after seeing the girl in such a condition, the family members and villagers got the key from the cook living in the village and opened the door of the classroom and bent the iron railing to rescue the girl.
Later, the girl’s father and head teacher took the girl to the district headquarters hospital for treatment and brought her back to school. The School and Mass Education Department has informed that the girl is now fine.
