Bhubaneswar: Jay Dholakia, son of the late BJD MLA Rajendra Dholakia, is set to file his nomination papers as the BJP candidate for the Nuapada bypoll today.
He will submit his nomination papers at 2:45 pm in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and State BJP President Manmohan Samal. In addition, many other senior leaders of the party including Deputy Chief Minister KV Singhdeo and others will remain present during the nomination filling process.
Jay Dholakia along with over 40,000 leaders and workers will make a big rally and file their nominations as a show of strength.
Yesterday, BJP held a huge merger party at the Komana Block Udyana Bandha of Nuapada.
The political situation in Nuapada changed after Jay Dholakia joined the BJP party on the 11th October. While discussion was ongoing about Jai Dholakia becoming a candidate from BJD, he suddenly switched party to BJP. BJD had directly targeted Jay Dholakia after he joined BJP after his father’s death.
