IMD issues yellow warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorm with lightning in Odisha
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued yellow warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorm with lightning in Odisha for next three days.
Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) today issued yellow warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorm with lightning in Odisha for next three days.
The weather department said that the thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur in parts of Odisha till 8.30 AM of October 15.

Day 1 (Valid upto 8.30 AM of October 13):
- YELLOW WARNING: Heavy rain and thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Ganjam and Gajapati .
- Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Rayagada, Koraput, and Nabarangpur.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of October 13 to 8.30 AM of October 14):
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur , Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri .
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of October 14 to 8.30 AM of October 15):
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati and Ganjam.
