IMD issues yellow warning for two days in Odisha, light to moderate rain forecast for five days
Even if the southwest monsoon has almost withdrawn from Odisha by now, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning over some district for two days.
Bhubaneswar: Even if the southwest monsoon has almost withdrawn from Odisha by now, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning over some district for two days.
This apart the weather department also predicted that light to moderate rain would occur in Odisha for a total of five days and there will not be any large change in minimum temperature during next 6-7 days.
Fog or mist in the morning and partly cloudy sky later, said the IMD adding that the maximum and minimum temperature very likely to be around 33 degree Celsius and 22 degrees respectively.

Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of October 19 to 8.30 AM of October 20):
- Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and over the districts of Malkangiri, Rayagada and Koraput and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
- YELLOW WARNING: Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Rayagada, Koraput Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati.
Day 4 (Valid from 8.30 AM of October 20 to 8.30 AM of October 21):
- Light to moderate rain or Thunderstorm likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha and over the districts of Malkangiri, Rayagada and Koraput and dry weather likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
