The incident is a violation of the All India Services (AIS) (Conduct) Rules, 1968, and IAS Probation Rules, 1954.

This case quickly gained attention on social media, with online users drawing comparisons to the 2024 case involving Maharashtra cadre IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, who faced disciplinary action for similar misuse of a beacon and government-tagged license plate on her private Audi.

In a district known for its developmental challenges, the probationer’s alleged use of symbols of authority has stirred public outrage.

So far, the government has not released the name of the probationer, and no official word has been issued regarding disciplinary proceedings.
