In a surprising and shocking incident, a huge quantity of illegal liquor was found during a raid on a medicine shop in Bhadrak city on Thursday.
Bhadrak: In a surprising and shocking incident, a huge quantity of illegal liquor was found during a raid on a medicine shop in Bhadrak city on Thursday.
A team led by the local drug inspector conducted a raid on a medicine shop, named Sri Ganesh Medicine Store, situated near the bypass under the Bhadrak Town Police station limits this morning.
The team was checking whether the medicine shop was selling any illegal and expired medicines. But to everyone’s surprise, some bottles of foreign liquored stored in three cartoon boxes was found inside the shop.
Immediately, the drug inspector informed the local police about the liquor and verified the license and other business related documents of the medicine shop.
A team of cops from the Bhadrak Town Police station reached the spot and seized the liquor, packed in three cartoon boxes. They also started to interrogate owner of the shop to know whether he was doing liquor business under the guise of medicine business and if yes, since when.
Further verification by the drug officials and investigation by the police is underway.
Meanwhile, the finding of huge quantity of illegal liquor from the medicine store has shocked and surprised everyone and become a talk of the town in the locality.
