High-level delegation from European Union visit KIIT and KISS
A high-level delegation from the European Union (EU) today visited the city-based Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Universities.
Bhubaneswar: A high-level delegation from the European Union (EU) today visited the city-based Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) and Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Universities.
The 10-member high-level delegation which included representatives from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary and the Czech Republic visited KIIT- KISS as part of the EU R&I Counsellors Regional Visit and European Research Day.
They interacted with KISS children, appreciated the model of education with social commitment, and explored KIIT’s research ecosystem.
During their visit to the KIIT campus, the delegation spent a long time at the KIIT Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI). They were amazed by the innovative work being done at KIIT -TBI.
On this occasion, the delegation paid a courtesy call on KIIT- KISS founder Achyuta Samanta. They appreciated Samanta’s efforts in providing a broad base for education and research at KIIT.
Dr. Samanta welcomed the delegation and expressed hope that their visit to KIIT and KISS would be fruitful. The high-level delegation’s visit marks a strong step towards deeper collaboration between KIIT and leading European institutions in research and innovation, he said.
Later, the delegation had a long interaction with researchers working in Research and Development at KIIT at a special function organized at KIIT University.
