Bhubaneswar: The wife and daughter of Gobind Sahu, the late patron of the Kalahandi school at the center of the Mamita Meher murder case, met Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at his official residence today.

During the meeting, they expressed serious doubts over Gobind Sahu’s alleged suicide and submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister, demanding a thorough reinvestigation of the case.

Gobind Sahu was the prime accused in the sensational murder of Mamita Meher, a young teacher from Tureikela block in Bolangir district. Mamita, who worked at an English-medium school in Mahaling, Kalahandi, went missing on October 8, 2021.

Her decomposed body was recovered on October 19 from an under-construction stadium on the school premises. Investigators alleged that Gobind Sahu had strangled her to death.
