Ganjam: Hospital sealed over a patient’s death due to wrong injection, watch
All other indoor patients of this now sealed hospital have been shifted to MKCG hospital.
Berhampur: A private hospital near the new bus stand in Berhampur was sealed by the district administration over a patient’s death due to alleged wrong injection infusion.
As per information, Bijay Pradhan, a resident of Sindurabad village under Tumba Panchayat under Patrapur Block, was admitted to this private hospital after a road accident. As a treatment an injection was administered to him. However, after he was injected his condition worsened.
Accordingly his family members shifted him to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur. However, the doctors there declared him dead there.
Following death of the patient, his family members alleged that the death occurred due to administering a wrong injection in the private hospital. Accordingly, they along with others sat on protest in front of the hospital demanding justice.
Today, the said private hospital was sealed. The hospital has been sealed by the district administration. All other indoor patients of this now sealed hospital have been shifted to MKCG hospital.
