Firecrackers worth more than Rs 3 lakh seized in Chhatrapur of Ganjam
In view of the festive season, Ganjam SP has directed the district police to keep watch on the illegal sale and illegal trading of firecrackers in the district.
Chhatrapur: Firecrackers worth more than Rs 3 lakh have been seized in Chhatrapur of Ganjam district in Odisha. The seizure was done at a rice godown in the Park sahi of Chhatrapur NAC.
As per reports, on the instructions of Ganjam SP, Police today conducted search at the rice godown and seized huge amount of firecrackers worth lakhs of rupees.
Chhatrapur SDPO Chandan Ghadei, Chhatrapur police and magistrate conducted this raid and seized the firecrackers.
The shopkeeper has been detained.
In addition, the police reached the shopkeeper’s house and are conducting further investigation.
Chhatrapur police station officer Sabyasachi Malla, Chhatrapur Additional Tehsildar Manoj Pradhan as Magistrate and police force jointly conducted this raid.
