Bhubaneswar: Odisha politics has heated-up as expelled senior Congress leader Mohammed Moquim met veteran leader Bijoy Mohapatra at latter’s residence in Bhubaneswar.
A couple of days after being expelled from the Congress party for his alleged “anti-party activities,” the former MLA met Bijoy Mohapatra this evening.
Though it is not known whether Mokim made a courtesy visit to Mohapatra’s house, the two leaders’ meeting has fuelled rumours of formation of a regional party in Odisha.
Meanwhile, sources also said that Moquim is also likely to meet former MLAs Prabhat Ranjan Biswal and Amar Prasad Satpathy.
It is to be noted here that Moquim had written a letter to Sonia Gandhi expressing serious concerns over party’s decline and leadership issues. In the letter he also had mentioned that “Age is not on AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge’s side” and about inaccessibility of Rahul Gandhi.
