Eight-year-old girl dies as wall collapses while playing, 3 others rescued
Four girls were playing in an abandoned house near Sanadhar Santa's house when the house suddenly collapsed.
Nabarangpur: In a tragic incident, an eight-year-old girl died after the wall of an abandoned house collapsed. The incident took place in Rairichchara village of Umarkot block in Nabarangpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Bhumika Santa, the daughter of Pita Santa of Pairichara village. The two daughters of Sanadhar Santa – Sati Santa (6) and Elisa Santa (4) have been critically injured.
The two girls were rushed to Umerkote Subdivisional Hospital (SDH) for preliminary treatment and later shifted to Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital.
According to the family members, at 4 pm today, four girls were playing in an abandoned house near Sanadhar Santa’s house when the house suddenly collapsed.
While three girls were trapped inside the house, one unfortunately died. The three were rescued and have been rescued from the debris.
A pall of gloom ascended on the family on the news of the death of the small girl.
