Durga Puja festivities in Odisha likely to be dampened as low pressure rains expected September 23
Low pressure rains in Odisha is expected from September 23 as a cyclonic circulation is active over Odisha in the Bay of Bengal.
Bhubaneswar: The fresh low pressure in Odisha is likely to dampen the upcoming Durga Puja festivities in 2025. The IMD has predicted a fresh low pressure in the Bay of Bengal.
According to information, the low pressure area will develop along the Myanmar-Bangladesh coast between the central and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal. As a result, the rainfall is expected to begin from September 23.
For heavy rainfall, a yellow warning has been issued to two districts of Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj district.
The cloudy sky and the weather conditions is likely to continue even on September 24. The following day will show the wrath of rainfall as it is likely to increase in Odisha.
As many as eight districts have been issued yellow warning for heavy rainfall. Similarly, on September 26 and 27 in some place heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected.
On the other hand, the cyclonic circulation is active over Odisha. As a result of which, rainfall continues in several parts of the state.
The depression is predicted to advanced towards Chhattisgarh and then Nagpur from September 29. The weather is likely to remain dry after the September 30. An alert has been issued for 20 districts for light to moderate rain with thunderstorms today.
It is worth mentioning here that, the Navratri begins from September 22 and Dasami or Dussehra falls on October 2.
