Dense fog very likely to occur in several districts of Odisha for next five days, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today.
Bhubaneswar: Dense fog very likely to occur in several districts of Odisha for next five days, informed the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) today.
In its latest bulletin, the IMD said that G. Udayagiri reported the lowest temperature of 3-5°C yesterday while the second lowest temperature was witnessed in Daringibadi and Phulabani as they shivered at 6 degree Celsius. Likewise, 7°C was recorded in Jharsuguda and Rourkela.
The weather department further said that there will be no large change in the night temperature during the next 3 days and there after gradual rise by 2-3 O C over the districts of Odisha.

- Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur during early hours/morning hours at isolated pockets in districts of Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Nayagarh.
Day 2 (Valid from 8.30 AM of December 29 to 8.30 AM of December 30):
- Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur during early hours/morning hours at isolated pockets in districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Nayagarh.
Day 3 (Valid from 8.30 AM of December 30 to 8.30 AM of December 31):
- Yellow Warning: Dense fog very likely to occur during early hours/morning hours at isolated pockets in districts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Nayagarh.
Day 4 (Valid from 8.30 AM of December 31 to 8.30 AM of January 1, 2026):
- Yellow Warning: Dense to very dense fog likely to occur during early hours/morning hours at isolated pockets in districts of Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur.
Day 5 (Valid from 8.30 AM of 1, 2026 to 8.30 AM of January 2, 2026):
- Dense to very dense fog likely to occur during early hours/morning hours at isolated pockets in districts of Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, Khurda, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur.
