DC-cum-ACS Anu Garg reviews progress of Kanupur, Subarnarekha and Anandpur Projects

Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg today reviewed progress of Kanupur, Supbarnarekha and Anandpur Projects during a meeting held at Conference Hall of Department of Water Resources today.

Bhubaneswar: Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg today reviewed progress of Kanupur, Supbarnarekha and Anandpur Projects during a meeting held at Conference Hall of Department of Water Resources today.

In the meeting held, it revealed that the head works in Kanupur irrigation Project is almost ready except for depletion sluice and erection of some gates, progress of which was hampered due to early monsoon. Main Canal and distribution system completed 94% and 75% respectively. Rabi Irrigation to the tune of 12000 hectare will be provided in the coming rabi season. The phase-1 of the Subarnarekha irrigation Project is fully complete and Phase-II is progressing well.

Anandpur Project is also progressing well. Link Canal is complete. Baitarani Right bank Canal and Salandi Left Main Canal are on the verge of completion. Likewise, 12000 hectare ayacut has already been developed and other distribution systems are in progress.
