Cuttack: Young man jumps into Mahanadi river from Mundali barrage
A young man jumped into the Mahanadi river from the Mundali barrage in Cuttack in the early hours of Thursday. He is currently missing.
Baranga: A young man jumped into the Mahanadi river from the Mundali barrage in Cuttack in the early hours of Thursday. The young man is currently missing and rescue efforts are on-going to locate him.
According to sources, the missing youth has been identified as Saktikant Sahu, a resident of the Nayapali area of Bhubaneswar.
The fire brigade personnel reached the spot after getting informed by the locals and are searching for the missing youth in the river.
On being informed, the Baranga police and Zone ACP SAsikant Raut has reached the spot. The youth’s family members has been informed about the incident.
The police has found a suicide letter from his car which has been seized.
However, it still remains unclear whether the young man jumped into the river or have gone somewhere else. Police is investigating the case and collecting information from the locals.
