Cuttack SCB Medical College and hospital to have 17-storey parking, watch
The meeting also discussed the construction of rest houses for attendants in the government medical college campuses at Cuttack, Berhampur, Burla, Sundargarh, Koraput, Baripada, and Balangir.
Bhubaneswar: Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital will have a 17-storey parking facility. Rest houses for attendants will also be built in the 7 medical college campuses across the state, as announced by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi after reviewing the state health department’s programs.
The Chief Minister reviewed various programs of the Health and Family Welfare Department at Lok Seva Bhawan. The meeting discussed the redevelopment work of Cuttack’s SCB Medical College and Hospital, with the state government aiming to develop it into a world-class medical institution.
To achieve this, the meeting discussed the required parking facilities. A 17-storey multi-level parking facility will be developed on a 6.51-acre area at SCB Medical College, which can be used by patients and attendants visiting both SCB Medical and Acharya Harihar Cancer Hospital.
The Chief Minister directed the Health Department to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) soon. The meeting also discussed the redevelopment work of Berhampur and VIMSAR in Burla.
Additionally, the Chief Minister suggested that the Panikoili Trauma Care Centre will be made operational soon, preferably through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
