Cuttack Police release photos of 2 escaped prisoners from Choudwar Jail
A reward of Rs 50,000 has been announced by the Cuttack DCP office for accurate information on the escaped prisoners.
Cuttack: The Cuttack DCP office has released photos of the 2 prisoners who escaped from the Choudwar Circle Jail yesterday night. Anyone who knows anything about them has been requested to provide information immediately.
It has been mentioned that the identity of the informant will be kept confidential. A reward of Rs 50,000 has been announced by the Cuttack DCP office for accurate information on the escaped prisoners.
Earlier, taking action in this regard, Odisha Jail DG suspended two warders of the said jail including the chief warder.
It is to be noted that cultural programs were going on in Choudwar Jail yesterday night for Dussehra. It has been thought that the jail employees were busy in these programs. Taking advantage of this, the two prisoners managed to escape from the jail by jumping over the wall. This has been seen as a major security breach and questioned on the security system of jails in Odisha.
