The Cuttack district administration has finally cleared the air about conducting the upcoming Bali Yatra 2025, which is slated to be held between November 5 and November 12.
Cuttack: The Cuttack district administration has finally cleared the air about conducting the upcoming Bali Yatra 2025, which is slated to be held between November 5 and November 12.
The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Dibyalochan Mohanta, in a press meet, informed that this year’s Bali Yatra will be held at both the Upper and Lower Bali Yatra grounds.
This year, there will be 24,000 stalls in the Bali Yatra and the stalls related to cultural heritage will be given space in the upper ground, he said adding that it will had stall of traditional food of Cuttack, Dahibara Aludam, Thunkapuri, silver filigree, earthenware and utensils, bamboo products, horn work, stone works, millet and other handicrafts, including the doli. He also clarified that there will also be a parking facility in the upper ground.
The Cuttack ADM also said that for the first time, a vintage car exhibition will be held in the Bali Yatra. Besides, the district administration has decided for Mission Shakti Enclosure, MSME Enclosure and Auto Enclave at the Bali Yatra ground.
Mohanta also informed that the Bali Yatra plot registration process will continue till 5.30 PM on October 12 at Barabati Palace and as only 500 plots are left for registration, the district administration has asked the traders to register soon.
According to the ADM, the administration also has created a mobile app through which a person can know details about the Bali Yatra and the facilities available for the public such as toilets, ATM counters, primary health centers, police help centers, entry and exit routes, major attractions of the Bali Yatra ground, etc.
The Cuttack district administration’s clarification about conducting the Bali Yatra 2025 at the Upper Ground comes a day after the Orissa High Court clarified that it has not imposed any restriction on the use of the Upper Bali Yatra Ground for the annual event.
