Couple turns critical in knife attack by uncle in Odisha’s Subarnapur district

Dunguripali: In a shocking incident, a couple turned critical in knife attack by their uncle in Subarnapur district of Odisha yesterday night. The incident took place in the Chingerkata village under Dunguripali Police Station limits in the district.
The victim man has been identified as Kishore Khanda and his wife Bhama.
As per reports, Kishore has harvested a particular farm land. His uncle (kaka, younger brother of father) asked to return the said land and a fight erupted yesterday evening over this land dispute.
During this fight, the uncle took out a knife and attacked his nephew. As his wife intervened, he also attacked her, leaving them bleeding.
In this fight, Kishore sustained serious injuries on his stomach, hands, head and legs, while his wife sustained critical injuries on her back and head.
Following the incident, the family members rescued the couple in a critical condition and admitted them to the Dunguripali Community Health Center (CHC). However, since the condition of both of them deteriorated, the couple has been shifted to the VIMSAR Medical College and Hospital in Burla of Sambalpur district.
After getting information, Dunguripali Police reached the spot and initiated investigation.
