Conditions favourable for return of monsoon in Odisha, winter chill to be experienced soon
The state of Odisha shall experience winter chill soon as the conditions are favourable for the return of monsoon
Bhubaneswar: Monsoon will withdraw from North Odisha today. Southwest monsoon winds will depart from various parts of the state. Monsoon retreat may start mainly from North Odisha.
According to the MeT, the amount of rainfall has decreased in the state since the last two days. Therefore, the weather is favorable for the return of monsoon from various parts of the country including Odisha. With the withdrawal of monsoon, temperatures will decrease in various parts of the state.
After staying for 4 months and 13 days, the monsoon is now all set to retreat from Odisha. At this time, dew will be experienced at night and fog will also be seen in the coastal districts. The temperature will be the lowest in Kandhamal, Koraput, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar.
It is worth mentioning here that, the minimum temperature in these places will decrease by 2 to 3 degrees, there is a possibility of dew and fog.
