Central Range DIG reviews security arrangements ahead of Gajalaxmi Puja in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: The Central Range DIG of Odisha, Satyajit Naik has reviewed the security as well as administrative arrangements ahead of the Gajalaxmi Puja in Kendrapara, SP informed.

The traditional Gajalaxmi Puja will be celebrated in Kendrapara from 06.10.2025 to 14.10.2025. Dr. Satyajit Naik, IPS, DIG Central Range, Cuttack, visited Kendrapara today to review the security and administrative arrangements for the forthcoming Gajalaxmi Puja celebrations.

During his visit, Dr. Naik held a detailed briefing with all police officers and force regarding security preparedness, traffic management, and crowd control measures.

As part of the security arrangements, a flag march was conducted in Kendrapara town to instil confidence among the public and to ensure a safe and peaceful celebration.

Speaking on the occasion, he stated, “Gajalaxmi Puja is one of the most significant festivals of Kendrapara, drawing large gatherings. Our priority is to ensure that the celebrations take place smoothly, with full security arrangements in place. The public is assured of all possible support from the police to maintain peace and harmony.”

Addl. SP-01, DSP-13, Inspr.-17, SI/ASI-122, Havildar-27, Constable/APR-237, HGs-315 and 20 platoon and 02 section of force have been deployed to maintain Law and order and regulate traffic management. CCTV cameras have been installed at different vulnerable points to keep watch over the antisocial activities.
