The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha today modified the timing of Odisha Teachers’ Eligibility Test (OTET) to be held on December 17 across the state.

Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha today modified the timing of Odisha Teachers’ Eligibility Test (OTET) to be held on December 17 across the state.

As per the latest notification issued by the BSE, Odisha, the Paper-II of the OTET Exam will be held from 1.30 PM to 4 PM instead of 2 PM to 4.30 PM.

“It is informed to all concerned that the Paper-II of OTET Examination, 2025 will be started from 01.30 PM to 4.00 P.M. instead of 02.00 PM to 4.30 PM,” read the notification of the board.

However, the Paper-I of the OTET Exam 2025 will be held as per the same timing i.e from 9 AM to 11.30 AM. The PWD candidates, however, will get 50 minutes additional time in both the exams.

It is to be noted here that as many as 1,60,379 candidates, including in-service and aspiring teachers, have filled their forms to appear the exam at 452 exam centers on December 17. While 47,720 candidates have registered for Paper 1 and a total of 1, 12,659 candidates will appear the Paper 2 OTET Exam.

Meanwhile, the board has already started to dispatch the OTET question papers and OMR sheets to the control rooms amid tight security. The OTET question papers and OMR sheets are being sent through 40 teams on 40 different routes of 30 districts. While 24 teams have already left for their destinations, another 16 teams are slated to reach their destinations tomorrow.
