Nuapada: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to announce name of the candidate for the upcoming Nuapada by-election soon. BJP core committee meeting will be held tomorrow. The party was in third place in the last election.

There is talk that BJP may field the party’s state president Manmohan Samal to contest in Nuapada by-election?
Former MP Basant Panda’s son Abhinandan Panda contested from BJP ticket in the last election from Nuapada. But he came in third place.
Speculations ripe over whether this time BJP will field him again or change to field his father Basant Panda in place of Abhinandan.
Meanwhile, another candidate, Yadumani Panigrahi, is also in discussion for being the party’s candidate.
