BJD leader and workers from Hinjili raise development, health and law & order concerns with party president Naveen Patnaik

Leaders and workers of the BJD from Hinjili Municipality today met party president and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Naveen Patnaik at Neveen Niwas.

Bhubaneswar: Leaders and workers of the BJD from Hinjili Municipality today met party president and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Naveen Patnaik at Neveen Niwas.

During the meeting, Hinjili BJD delegation alleged the BJP government’s negligence in development works and a partisan approach in administration and policing.

Below are the key issues they raised during meeting with Naveen:

Developmental Neglect: Civic and infrastructure projects in Hinjili

  • Municipality have stalled due to what BJD leaders described as a “step-motherly attitude” of the government.

Law and Order Concerns:

  • Allegations of selective policing, with complainants being targeted while accused persons move freely, creating fear among citizens.

Healthcare Gaps:

  • Despite modern infrastructure at the Hinjili Sub-Divisional Hospital, services remain inadequate due to shortage of doctors and staff.

Administrative Shortages:

  • Acute lack of municipal employees affecting delivery of essential services.

Welfare Irregularities:

  • Arbitrary cancellation of ration cards and social security allowances of eligible beneficiaries.

Public Insecurity:

  • Alleged political blast in police administration discouraging people from approaching police stations.

The delegation sought Patnaik’s intervention to address these issues and ensure fair governance.

The former CM assured the delegation that he would take up the concerns with the district administration and reiterated his commitment to the overall development of the Hinjili constituency and resolving public grievances.
