Bhubaneswar: Youth critical following sword attack in Shaheed Nagar
The miscreants attacked the youth in the Tarini slum after the youth denied to give money for buying intoxicants

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, miscreants attacked a youth with sword and other sharp weapons in the Shaheed Nagar area of the capital city on Thursday. They attacked him as he denied to give money for buying intoxicants.
The crime was committed in the Tarini slum area under Shaheed Nagar Police Station limits.
The critically injured youth has been identified as Azad Shabar of the Trinath slum in the capital city.
According to the information received, the injured youth was also a drug addict. However, for the past few days he separated himself from the other drug addicts and gave up the habit. However, the miscreants today stumbled upon him near the Tarini slum and demanded money to buy intoxicants and also invited him to sit together for intoxication. But he denied and accordingly they attacked him with sharp weapons.
Following the incident, the critically injured youth has been sent to the hospital. Police are investigating the case.
