Bhubaneswar: A woman was brutally assaulted on the road in GGP colony in Bhubaneswar of Odisha on Monday. It has been learned that she has been mercilessly beaten merely for plucking flowers. The whole incident has been recorded in CCTV.
The victim woman has been identified as Parbati Pradhan.
We can see in the CCTV footage that a young man rushing towards a woman and suddenly assaulting her. The attack was brutal, with the man continuing to kick and hit the woman even after she fell to the ground. Another woman attempted to intervene, but the attacker persisted in his violent attack. The victim eventually lost consciousness and collapsed onto the bonnet of a car that had arrived at the scene.
Although the incident has been reported to Mancheswar police station, the accused has not been arrested yet.

In this regard, the police have registered a case under Sections 296, 115(2), 303(2) of the BN SR and further investigation of the matter is underway.
