Bhubaneswar to witness 193 Durga Medhas, 61 platoon of police force deployed
As many as 193 Durga medhas have been set up in Bhubaneswar. For the security arrangements, 61 platoon of police force have been deployed.
Bhubaneswar: As many as 193 Durga medhas have been made in Bhubaneswar while at 24 places the Medhas have been decorated with jewelleries.
For the security and traffic management, 61 platoons of police force have been deployed. Three platoons of Central Force will be deployed for security.
Crowds will be monitored through drones. The city will be monitored from the smart traffic control room. Shakti Bahini will be deployed for women’s safety. The Shakti Bahini team has been formed with the HER team. Police Commissioner Suresh Debdutt Singh has given information in this regard.
Police preparations for Durga Puja 2025 have been strict. 61 platoons of police will monitor crowd and traffic management.
Shakti Bahini and the HER team of the Commissionerate Police will give an eye for the safety of the women. They will roam in plain clothes and give priority to the safety of women in the crowd.
A total of 193 puja mandaps have been organised in Bhubaneswar. In 24 pandals ornamental decorations have been made thus more security will be provided.
Keeping the safety of the people in mind and preventing the spread of criminal elements, 3 platoons of Central Armed Forces will also be deployed.
As many as 3 DCP rank officers will monitor the puja preparations. Security arrangements will also be checked through drones and 4 modern drones will be used to monitor the crowd and puja in the city.
Traffic will be managed from the control room with the help of smart city cameras. This time, 20 platoons of home guards have also been deployed for smooth traffic.
Mobile patrolling has been arranged to keep an eye on theft and looting. Striking force, special tactical unit, bomb disposal squad will also be deployed. The police commissioner has informed about this through a press meet.
