Bhubaneswar AIIMS Hospital employee’s murder case: Khandagiri Police arrests four accused persons
In a major breakthrough in the sensational murder case of Bhubaneswar AIIMS Hospital employee Sudhanshu Khuntia alia Rabi, the Khandagiri Police has arrested a total of four accused persons.
Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough in the sensational murder case of Bhubaneswar AIIMS Hospital employee Sudhanshu Khuntia alia Rabi, Khandagiri Police has arrested a total of four accused persons.
Tapas Chandra Pradhan, the ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) for Zone III in Bhubaneswar, in a press meet informed that four accused persons namely Bhalu alias Sukanta Pradhan, Chhabi alias Suvendu Pradhan, Rakesh Khuntia alias Raka and Kanha alias Subrat Sahoo have been arrested for their involvement in the murder case.
According to the ACP, Khandagiri PS case No. 738 dated 13.10.25 U/s 103(1)/3(5) BNS/See 25/27 Arms Acm Sec. 103(1)/61(2)(a) BNS/Sec 25(1)(a)/27 Arms Act was registered on the written complaint of Debasish Khuntia, the younger brother of Sudhanshu over past enmity.
According to him, there is strong enmity between the complainant family and accused family on the issue of land dispute. There is chronic land dispute between the families of Pathani Khuntia (complaint side) and Sukanta Pradhan (accused side). In this regard, one civil case vide No. 1244/2019 is sub-judice in the Civil Court, Bhubaneswar, and Sudhanshu Khuntia had given his evidence in the above noted civil case.
After this, Sukanta Pradhan and his two sons namely Chhabi @ Suvendu Pradhan, Siba Sadasibe Pradhan threatened to kill his family members Chhabi Sovendu Pradhan and Siba Sadasiba Pradhan threatened to kill his family.
On October 13 morning, one Parsunun Parida came to his house and informed about the death of his brother Sudhanshu Khuntia by gun shot. He immediately arranged an auto-rickshaw and shifted him to AIIMS Hospital. On the way to the hospital, Sudhanshu disclosed before him that Sibu has fired at him.
Deceased Sudhanshu Khuntia, who was a lab assistant at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, was shot dead while going to do his duty.
Further probe into his murder case is underway.
