Bhubaneswar AIIMS employee shot dead: 3 detained
Police investigation is also underway to find out where the illegal guns are coming from.
Bhubaneswar: In the matter of an employee of the Bhubaneswar AIIMS hospital was shot dead today, Commissionerate Police have detained three persons.
In a press meet today Police Commissioner S Dev Datta Singh informed about the investigation of the matter. He said that three persons have been detained by the Commissionerate police in this matter. He also informed that on the basis of preliminary probe, the murder took place due to a family dispute.
Scientific investigation into the shooting incident is underway. Also, investigation is underway to find out where the illegal guns are coming from. Many guns have been seized by the police in the past.
Four rounds of ammunition were seized from the shooting spot today. The scientific team collected evidences from the spot. Khandagiri IIC and Zone 3 ACP were also present at the spot for probe.
It is to be noted that a Laboratory Assistant of the Bhubaneswar AIIMS hospital, an outsourced employee, was shot today while he was coming for duty to the hospital. Later, he succumbed to the bullet injury while undergoing treatment at AIIMS.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
