Bhubaneswar: A 9-year-old student suffered a severe injury on Saturday while playing on an iron grill in the capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneswar. The incident took place in the Badagarha area near a school.
As per the information, the incident occurred when the child was playing with his friends near a school wall. Due to carelessness, an iron rod pierced his hand.
After getting alerted about the matter, the Bargarh police and fire brigade responded promptly. The rod was cut and the kid was rescued and rushed to the hospital while the cut portion of the grill was still attached to his hand.
According to the doctor, the iron rod entered the palm and exited through the finger. Despite the rescue efforts, the child’s hand condition remains critical, with concerns about blood circulation. The outcome will be determined post-surgery.
