Berhampur: Involvement of sand mafias has been suspected in the murder of BJP leader cum Advocate Pitabasa Panda in Berhampur of Odisha.
As per information, rumors are circulating in Berhampur that the murder of Pitabasa Panda might be linked to the sand mafia, who allegedly hired hard-core habitual criminals from out of state as contract killers. Discussions suggest that these hired goons were paid to carry out the crime, and they shot Panda point-blank with a 9mm pistol before fleeing the scene.
Despite two days passing since the incident, the police have yet to apprehend any culprits. Three investigation teams have been formed to probe this high-profile murder case. The scientific team has collected bullets and empty shells from the scene, along with other evidence.
The investigation is focused on uncovering who hired the two professional criminals responsible for the murder. Some speculate that the killers might have conducted recce and monitored Panda’s movements before executing the crime. However, the motive behind the murder remains unclear, and it is uncertain what enmity Panda had with the sand mafias.
