Balasore SP suspends Police ASI and two constables for negligence of duty
Balasore Superintendent of Police (SP) Pratayush Diwakar suspended a Police Assistant of sub-inspector (ASI) and two constables on charges of negligence of duty.
Balasore: Balasore Superintendent of Police (SP) Pratayush Diwakar suspended a Police Assistant of sub-inspector (ASI) and two constables on charges of negligence of duty.
The Balasore SP suspended Gopalpur police station’s ASI Deepak Kumar Bhoi, Constable Bikash Kumar Mahapatra and Reserve Constable Suchitra Majhi for dereliction of duty.
Following the direction of the SP, the Gopalpur police had reportedly gone to Hyderabad to arrest a youth who had allegedly kidnapped a minor girl from the Aruhabad area of the district recently.
However, the accused managed to escape from the train when the police team was bringing him back to Gopalpur after arresting from Hyderabad.
After learning about the accused’s escape, the girl’s family met SP Diwakar and sought action against the police team. Taking a note of the entire incident, the SP suspended the trio with immediate effect.
