Balasore: 4 critical as container truck hits another, driver and conductor trapped
The accident took place near Juknundi in Nalbahar area under Rupsa Police Station limits in the district.
Jaleshwar: As many as 4 persons have turned critical as a container truck hit another in Balasore district of Odisha today morning. As one container truck hit the other from the rear side, the driver and helper of the rear truck got trapped inside the vehicle. The driver of the front truck have also turned critical in this accident.
The accident took place near Juknundi in Nalbahar area under Rupsa Police Station limits in the district.
According to the information, two containers were going from Kolkata to Andhra Pradesh. The container in front suddenly applied the brakes near Nalabahar on National Highway No. 60, and the rear container hit it.
As a result, the front container overturned on the side of the road. The driver and the helper in the front container were seriously injured, while the driver and the helper in the rear container were trapped in the cabin.
After getting information about this road mishap the Rupsa police and the Basta fire brigade reached the spot. The fire fighters rescued the trapped driver and the helper after cutting the body of the truck with the help of gas cutter. The driver and conductor have been admitted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital. It is reported that the condition of all the four is critical.
