Auto driver killed, woman critical as Ama bus rams into auto-rickshaw in Bhubaneswar
An auto driver was killed after Ama Bus rammed into auto-rickshaw at Rupali Square in Bhubaneswar today afternoon
Bhubaneswar: In a tragic incident, an auto driver was killed, while another woman sustained critical injuries after Ama Bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw at Rupali Square in Bhubaneswar on Saturday noon.
As per sources, the auto-rickshaw was in a stationary position behind a school bus when the collision took place. The impact of the collision was so severe, that the rickshaw was crushed, killing the auto-driver on the spot. The auto was crushed into mangled debris and pushed forward, hitting the rear portion of the school bus and causing damage to it as well.
Following the incident, tension gripped the area as locals gathered at the spot, protesting against recurring accidents by Ama Buses.
DCP Jagmohan Meena rushed to the scene and calmed the agitated locals.
