Another cyclone likely in Odisha on October 10, heavy rain to continue for 3 to 4 days

A yellow warning has been issued for 24 districts in the state today for rain with lightning.

Bhubaneswar: A cyclone has formed in South Bangladesh and nearby areas. It will remain active till the 9th of October. Rain along with thunderstorm will continue in Odisha. The intensity may be higher especially in coastal and north-interior Odisha.

The effect will continue for the next 3 to 4 days. In addition, a cyclone is likely to form in the north-Bay of Bengal region by the 10th of October. It is unlikely to intensify significantly.

A yellow warning has been issued for 24 districts in the state today for rain with lightning. Similarly, the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center has issued a yellow warning for 3 districts Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapara for heavy rain with lightning tomorrow.

It is to be noted that there was heavy rain in the capital city of Odisha yesterday. A black cloud appeared in the sky of Bhubaneswar followed by rain with lightning and thunder storm. Heavy rain caused traffic problems at various places.
